Buyer knowledge path
Juice & Private Label
From manufacturer comparison and MOQ to packaging, specifications and private-label project control.
The sequence
Private label adds a second project on top of sourcing: artwork, legal labelling and packaging supply. Sequence them so the packaging decision does not block the production slot.
- 01
Define the product and the claim set
Juice content, from concentrate or not from concentrate, added sugar, vitamin fortification, preservative policy and any organic or origin claim. Each claim has evidence and labelling consequences in the destination market.
- 02
Settle the pack format early
PET, glass, carton or pouch determines the filling technology, the minimum run and the shelf life. Printed film and preprinted cartons carry their own minimum order quantity independent of the juice volume.
- 03
Confirm labelling compliance for the destination
Nutrition declaration format, allergen rules, language requirements, importer details and any market-specific claim wording. Agree in writing who prepares the artwork and who signs the legal check.
- 04
Compare manufacturers on the right axes
Filling technology, private-label experience, artwork handling, laboratory capability and willingness to work to your specification rather than their standard recipe.
- 05
Verify certification scope covers your line
A site certificate may not cover the specific filling line or pack format you need. Match the annex to the line, not to the company name.
- 06
Run a controlled sample and artwork approval
Approve liquid and packaging separately, then approve the finished pack. Retain a signed reference of each and set the validity period.
- 07
Send the brief
Recipe or target profile, pack format, volume per SKU, destination market, artwork status and timeline.
